Choose a source event, conversion event, and time window to answer: “After behavior X, how often do users reach outcome Y within Z minutes?”

  • Keep source and conversion events semantically distinct.
  • Start with 24h or 7d windows, then widen only if event latency is genuinely long.
  • Track exposed users and converted users together; conversion rate alone can hide sample issues.
Practical pattern: save one template for onboarding-to-purchase and another for paywall-view-to-purchase, then compare deltas after releases.
